Family hydration support
Thirsty Day 1.4 helps households track water with spirit-animal avatars, separate family profiles, optional adult Apple Health and local-weather adjustments, streaks, shareable rewards, squad races, and widgets. Estimates only — not medical advice.
Quick help
- Log water: use Quick Add or Custom on Home.
- Undo: tap Undo on the banner after a log, or delete a row under Today.
- Family profiles: open Settings → Family profiles. Each profile keeps its own goal, avatar, logs, streak, and friend code.
- Apple Health: optional for the adult device-owner profile in Settings. Denying access still allows full manual tracking. Child profiles do not read, import, write, or inherit adult Health data.
- Weather adjust: optional heat and humidity estimate for adult profiles using approximate location. Child profiles skip weather auto-bumps.
- Squad: share a QR or invite link. Household profiles on this phone race live. Enable optional iCloud Squad Sync in Settings for current remote progress and encouragement nudges.
- Rewards: daily logging streaks, harder badges, tips, and goal celebrations stay tied to the active local profile. Unlocked badges can be shared as image cards.
- Widgets: long-press Home Screen → Add Widget → Thirsty Day.
Metric units in version 1.4.2
Open Settings → Units to choose Metric or US customary. The choice is also available during onboarding. Metric displays water in mL, weight in kg, height in cm and temperature in °C. The first-use default follows your iPhone region; an explicit choice stays saved.
Metric Quick Add offers 150, 250, 350, 500 and 750 mL. Custom water amounts and manual goal/weight fields accept decimal-comma input such as 250,5. Unit changes carry through profiles, reminders, widgets and share cards without changing your existing drink quantities, goals or achievements.
If Units is not yet available, check the App Store for version 1.4.2 after it becomes available in your region. Earlier versions use US customary units.
Pro, Mythic Creatures, and restore
People who originally obtained Thirsty Day before version 1.4 keep early-supporter access. New users receive a starter set and can unlock the full classic companion collection with a one-time Pro purchase. Mythic Creatures is a separate optional one-time cosmetic collection with six additional original companions. Neither purchase changes hydration calculations. Apple’s purchase sheet shows the authoritative localized price.
To restore an eligible purchase, open Settings and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that made or received the purchase. If Ask to Buy is pending, wait for the family organizer’s decision instead of purchasing again.
Support Thirsty Day
The Support Thirsty page offers optional one-time consumable contributions. They are simply a way to support continued family-built development and do not unlock features or create a subscription.
