TuckTag Privacy Policy

Effective August 11, 2026

Short version: TuckTag does not collect, transmit, sell, or use your storage inventory, notes, or photos for tracking. Your library stays on your device unless you deliberately export or share a file.

Data you create

Spaces, containers, items, quantities, notes, photos, and label codes are stored locally in TuckTag's private app storage. TuckTag has no account system, developer backend, cloud inventory service, advertising SDK, or third-party analytics SDK.

Camera and photos

Camera access is used while you choose to scan a TuckTag QR label. Recognition happens on-device and TuckTag does not save or upload camera frames. Photos you select are copied into the app's private local storage so they can appear with your records.

Labels and codes

A TuckTag label contains an opaque local identifier used to find a container in your library. It does not contain your item names, photos, payment information, or an alternate purchase or feature-unlock mechanism. TuckTag does not automatically open scanned web addresses.

Backups and sharing

If you choose Export, TuckTag creates a versioned JSON backup containing your library and referenced photos. If you share a QR-label PDF or backup through Apple's system share interface, the destination you choose receives that file. You control and are responsible for those exported copies.

Purchases

Apple processes TuckTag Pro purchases. TuckTag reads verified StoreKit entitlement status but does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's processing.

Deletion

Delete individual records in the app, or use Settings → Delete all TuckTag data to remove the local library and TuckTag photo files from the device. Deleting TuckTag also removes its local app data. Copies you previously exported are controlled by wherever you saved them.

Changes and contact
