Barcode scanner

BiteSoon recognizes only barcode strings you have already saved to your own catalog. Unknown codes are offered as a new local item. There is no online product lookup.

Restore BiteSoon Pro

Open Settings, choose BiteSoon Pro, then Restore Purchase while signed into the Apple Account that bought it. If Apple reports no current verified purchase, the app safely remains in free mode.

Backups

Pro users can export JSON from Settings. Import is available to everyone; imports merge matching IDs, keep newer local edits, and do not delete current items.

Delete local data

Open Settings and choose Delete All Local Data to remove inventory, history, and reminder settings from this device. This cannot be undone unless you previously exported a backup. Apple’s purchase record is separate and remains restorable.

Food-safety boundary

BiteSoon organizes dates you enter. It does not determine whether food is safe to eat. Follow packaging, recall notices, public-health guidance, and your judgment.
