If the adult device-owner profile enables Health, Thirsty Day may read dietary water, active/resting energy, exercise minutes, workouts, steps, walk/run distance, body mass, and height. If enabled, drinks logged for that adult profile can be written back to Health. Child profiles do not read, import, write, or inherit the adult profile's Health data. Access is controlled by iOS permissions and can be revoked in Settings → Health.
If weather adjust is enabled, the app uses approximate on-device location to fetch current temperature and humidity for a heat/humidity hydration bonus. Location is not sold and is not kept as a long history in this version. Kids profiles skip weather auto-bumps.
Household profiles on the same phone race live. Remote friends can join with an invite link, QR, or shared card. If you enable iCloud Squad Sync, Thirsty Day stores your friend code, display name, avatar choice, hydration progress, streak, and squad nudges in Apple's iCloud CloudKit service so invited friends can see current race progress and send encouragement. This feature is optional and can be turned off in Settings. Apple processes the iCloud account and infrastructure; Thirsty Day does not receive your Apple Account password.
A compact progress snapshot is shared through an App Group so Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets can update.
People who originally obtained Thirsty Day before version 1.4 keep early-supporter access. New users can unlock the full classic companion collection with an optional one-time Pro purchase. Mythic Creatures remains a separate optional one-time cosmetic collection. Optional consumable support purchases are also available and do not unlock features. Apple and StoreKit process purchases, approval, refunds, eligible Family Sharing, and restore status. Thirsty Day reads Apple's verified transaction information only to determine access; House Rhymaun does not receive your card number or full payment details.
Thirsty Day is intended for general audiences and household use by parents/guardians. It is not directed at children as a primary audience under COPPA.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The effective date above will change when we do.
